Description:  In this presentation Alyce Bender, nature and conservation photographer, will introduce participants to North America’s tallest bird and rarest crane, the whooping crane. She will give a bit of background on the life cycle and behavior of the species, discuss the continuing conservation efforts and threats to the species, before delving into how to best observe and photograph this endangered species. So if you have yet to add the whooping crane to your life list or are just a craniac who can’t get enough of these beautiful birds, this presentation is for you.
