The pursuit of excellence in bird in flight photography is a never-ending challenge, but when done correctly provides incredible experiences and resultant images. Success can be elusive for some and seemingly impossible for others. Excellence in manufacturing, relationships, construction, and even bird in flight photography will all rely on a combination of systems that work together to produce a whole. If we consider the various systems within bird in flight photography, we can then work on each individual system such that any improvement in one will inevitably lead to an I improvement in our images. Bird in flight photography can be as easy as photographing gulls along a wide-open beach, moderately difficult in photographing puffins flying back to their burrow, to extremely challenging with swifts and swallows darting from one place to another. This workshop will showcase the systems that comprise bird in flight photography and include the subject, the setting, the light, the autofocus, the drive mode, the exposure, and the composition. It is designed to equip, educate, entertain, and, ultimately, improve your bird in flight photography.
